Åkerfeldt would be cool, but there's a ton of other cool death metal vocalists too. Jari Mäenpää has one of my favourite death metal styled voices. I know Jari is influenced massively by Dev, I think they're vocal styles are too similar really to consider him.

You may be right. His basic death growl is actually of the same pitch as Devin's Strapping stuff. Devin is propably looking for this real low grunt sound. There are plenty of cool people who can do that too of course...

My favourate metal vocalist is Dallas from Nile.. He shakes the earth nevermind the floor, hes like the chuck norris for death growls

I'm a big fan of Trevor from BDM, and Eric Rutan definitely wins for ballsiest death growl. I saw them at BB Kings in NYC and his vocals were just the most brutal and horrifying thing I have ever heard.

Been an interesting week.
