Hard disk space is cheap nowadays. I've ripped all my cd's to flac, takes about 200 GB but it's worth it

Thanks as well to Biert, Chili and Luna for helping me get with the programme! God, I thought I was never going to get these things to work. As Chili suggested, my .wav and .flac had to have been damaged somehow in the transfer as neither the ffdshow nor the VLC options worked to play either set.

Oh, and lmao at the "let me google it for you" link, Biert... Nice. Was already feeling like quite the dunderhead...lol.

It was Luna's MP3 that finally got me hearing this terrific music. I've given Island's link another crack, too...was curious as to what the .wav files would sound like compared with the MP3...and now that I have been steered in the right direction and have the right stuff downloaded, it works. Cheers, everyone!

I could be very wrong but ive got a funny feeling that itunes doesnt play flac, either itunes or ipods. rather annoying as i love flac too, tell me though, how you folks feel that flac compares to apple lossless?
(im aware of vlc and how it plays pretty much everything, its just that i use itunes cos im so damn used to it and all my tuff is there)
