The Cheeseburger is still in the concept, but it's called 'Deconstruction' to avoid it being viewed as a humor piece.

Well it is, to some extent, isn't it? Doesn't stop it from being awesome music. That said, I much prefer the title "Deconstruction" to "Deconstruction of a Cheeseburger".

I see good and bad on both sides. On one side we have Deconstruction, which is a solid, simple, serious name and would probably be more respected among many people. However, Deconstruction of a Cheeseburger gives me that feeling of old SYL comedy, like Heavy as a Really Heavy Thing. It makes me thing, "This is Dev's last piece of insanely heavy music, the music that made me fall in love with the rest of his music. This is going to be the final homage to SYL." Also, the title alone will attract more fans i think. I if you never heard of devin townsend and you were at a CD store flipping through you'd be thinking "Hm. Ocean Machine, Synchestra, Accelerated Evol-...what the fuck? Ziltoid the Omniscient?! What the hell is this?! Hahahahaha i have to get this!" Come for the comedy, stay for the genius. May not be the way you'd want to get fans, but i can see it working the same way with Deconstruction of a Cheeseburger. Either way its' going to be amazing and i can't wait.

^I think that Devin has actually had great album titles throughout his career. Ocean Machine, City, Terria, Infinity, Accelerated Evolution, Alien, Ziltoid the Omniscient...

Devin: 'The funny thing about Ziltoid is I was surprised that people think of it as being funny. To me that's a fucking dark, dark dark record, man. The point of that record is covered by this stupid story, it's stupid you know, it's this puppet that drinks coffee. Dude, that was right when I was quitting drugs and Ziltoid was just a metaphor for me and that was that projection of myself, I loved coffee at the time. So the point of that record – really fucking heavy man, and to people that say “oh that funny record” and I'm like actually, it's not that funny, right. But you know, again I'll take what I can get, right.'

beside the cheeseburger discussion I really EXPECT to let gene doing drums on this one (if not so say the whole SYL line-up - no, not drumming of course)... already any plans Dev?
