Personally I'd kill for an Ibanez RGA42FMTGB.

But a normal skint Argos monkey can only dream...

But you've just re-ignited my love for Tele's. :D

The great thing about custom guitars is that they're made for you...

I've been putting guitars together for years....put myself together a lovely strat a few years go from parts...

One of my favourite guitars now!

It used to be sunburst, but I sanded it down and re-sprayed it white...added some Rustin's "French Polish" to make it a creamy colour and Bob is your proverbial Uncle. Did the same to the neck to make it darker....added some new hardware...ordered some Fender pickups from the USA and it sounds and plays beautifully! Oooooh Yeah

Customs are great....they're made the the player and not just a generic creation with no soul, whether made by oneself or from a company: ESP, Peavey, Fender etc....

Apropos teles i was killing time in my local guitar shop the other day waiting to get served while the owner dealt with a super-amusing 'I have always wanted to play the guitar and would just like to touch a few to see if i connect with them' customer (I live in Glastonbury, remember), and had a noodle around on a Jim Root sig Fender tele. Not the kind of thing i would have picked up normally but wowie zowie, it was a really impressive guitar. EMG 81/60 configuration, which is my preference for metal tone, and really big feel. For £500GBP ish I thought it was pretty awesome.
If I could have only persuaded my children to stop growing and needing new clotehs and shoes and stuff for a few months I would have bought it on the spot.

Hey devin, thanks for replying my post !

Did you changed a lot of things from the ron wood original model ? Same wood ? Except the paint, pickguard, pickup and sign ? what else ?

I love this guitar, the colors black and vintage white work well together.

ESP custom shop seems to be closed... I was thinking about building a custom tele full hard mapple with EMG 81 or single coil, for a dry bone funky sound... don t know if it s a good idea maybe...

can't wait for "Ki" !!!

The closest you can come to that guitar without costume is the jim root telecaster by fender. I believe. (EMG 85 bridge and a EMG 60 neck) Remove the pickguard, add a EMG 81 and piss on the jim root signature and you almost got a fine Dev guitar
