For tunes I like Terria best.....for something to get me going in the morning, Physicist all the way. They're all so damn good though. Making us pick is not fair!!

I dig Physicyst for speed metal rythm...It's very powerful album but still the difference between Terria and Physicist is to see. Earth Day rules, Gereon. :o Not boring............It's long.....true....but cool........................It's Just Entertainment, Folks !!!!

Why does it always have to be which is your favourite?

I think we should ask questions like "which album triggers your imagination to picture daylight landscapes? or "which album trigged imaginitive world has the most people in it, what kind of houses do they live in and can they hear the devy music that you are currently listening to?" - "which album seems to have more imagined people who acknowledge you with eye contact?" - "what kind of people mostly live in which album?"

other than that, I reckon my all time favourite hasn't been recorded yet. maybe one of the next dozen or so.

Umm, if it had to be chosen, I would go with Ocean machines, but tomorrow I would have a different opinion.

Though, I recomend anyone new to Townsend start with OM and AE.

I think anyone new should start with City and have their buttholes blown straight off their bodies. That's just my opinion cuz that's what happened to me.

It depends, it might be better to start from scratch because once youve heared City it's hard for alot of people to appreciate the other albums. I started from HAARHT and moved on in order.

I love AE, but Ocean Machine just connects with me more. But the truth is, how can you go wrong? Seriously, every album is great, so picking one is extremely tough.

I think Terria is ultimately his best album. It's so floaty and earthy(as it's supposed to be) . It's a really powerful album.

AE would probably be my second choice tied with Ocean Machine. Every song on AE is really good.

I must say first that I absolutely LOVE all of them in different ways. OM has a few songs that sometimes I'm not in the mood for but the best songs on it are truly astounding.

Infinity took me longest to get into because of its' diversity. I now really like it...Bad Devil, Truth, Dynamics, CMON!

Physicist is like diet SYL says Dev, and I love it, too. Planet Rain and Namaste are awesome.

AE is very ambient and has a definate different vibe than all the others and it's really cool. I really dig Depth Charge, Deadhead, Away, and many others.

But Terria takes it for me. It definately caught me the most in the first listen and still catches me every time. Every song is essential and awesome, and the vibe to it of spring and rebirth just...yeah. :P

I agree. It's like a SYL album with glorious pop songs.

Terria. It's probably my favorite album of all time, along with a couple of other records (Fire Garden in particular). It's dense, colorful, emotional, inspired, happy, depressing, fucked up, genius.
