Hi, is there any fan site of Devin Townsend out there? I saw one in the HDR main site (something like the cult of devin townsend, i don't remeber) but wasn't updated. So my question is if there's any complete fan site.
Would be cool to create one, in a few languages, with updates and stuff, could be a good way to promote Townsend's stuff, don't you think? Sorry if it bothers, if it does, lock this shit.

Well, that sounds like a cool idea. Alternative to a whole new site, I wonder if it is possible for the HDR site to function in that way. Perhaps a crew of volunteers can be enlisted to help with that. A fan site would be volunteer - so no different other than being location. I like writing and would volunteer to help with something like that. Since I am not sure Devin wants us running amok on his website, maybe there could be an enhanced fan area of the HDR site. It would be nice to see the HDR site updated, though. Although it is nice to get news on the forums, it would be easier and clearer for dissemination of info in a site format and then use the forums for discussion. Just my two cents...

Cool, here's the thing people, I really don't know too much about web codes and stuff, so beyond the ideas i can give, the information and some art stuff i can do, i can't do the web by my own. So i need that people who's interested and know how to do something (no matter how little) join me to make some kind of team to do this website. We all got lifes and more important stuff to do, so i guess if it will be done, i'll take a long time. So, you know, anyone who's interested and know to do something, tell if there aren't enough people to concrete the project obviously it won't be done. Just that, hails.

Like I said, use a CMS like Drupal (free, open source) and you won't need to know anything about web coding. Lots of functionality extensions are available, it's all free, it's all PHP so it should work on pretty much any web server. Just takes some work to set it up initially.

I could help out with coding, if it is needed. sometimes a cms has to be tweaked to work the way you want.

lol...as my complete and epic fail with regard to downloading and listening to the bonus songs without hand holding has shown, my knowledge of the modern internet is a bit...um....sad. So, back to the original offer...I can write...so if you need/want bios/news and that sort of thing written out, I can help with that...and would enjoy it, too. I'll leave the webby stuff up to the more qualified, though.

Yeah thanks all, really, everybody are hired. Even if that drupal thing is easy, i still don't know too much 'bout it, so i'll need help with this web stuff.
