Sorry, but that is one of the most ignorant things I have ever read here.
Trying to mix fast, chaotic and layered live music is REALLY hard. Considering the lack of time they probably had for a soundcheck, the chaos of a festival, and whether or not they had time to warm up......I'd say they did a bang up job. I saw them in detroit with Meshuggah in '03, and I am a huge Meshuggah fan, but how DARE they let SYL play first!! Bad move, Meshuggah got their asses handed to them. The ALIEN tour was the same way, but even tighter, and with all the samples!!!!

Yeah i saw Meshuggah open for POD and System of A Down

i think alot of the quality has to do with budget.

Anyway in relation to OP, SYL live sound is infinitely better than some metal bands I've seen...and actually, a lot of non-metal bands too. Go figure.
