yeah, I read it on the SYL forum IIRC.

and listening to the feather album on the way back from work I think it has 2 on each channel at times, but not always (i.e. 4 guitars in total).
you can hear the 3rd and 4th guitars kick in quite well during bring on the young

Just guessing, but I think City probably had 2 on each side as well. The guitars alone aren't what make it so huge, and any more than 4 tracks and the tight playing on some songs would probably lose a lot of the definition it has.

City sounds like it has 4 to me too. While "The New Black" and "SYL" sound a bit more straight forward and "open". So I guess that them having two tracks might be right. Though it's hard to say this for sure of course. I myself have had a mix with 3 tracks for example that sounded more dense while another sounded more open with 4 tracks. Only because of different panning, volume and use of delay etc.

I am pretty certain New Black only has 1 on each side, Jed stated that on the SYL forums

I guess I didn't make myself clear. With 2 guitar tracks I meant one on each side. Alien then having two on each side. Or did I misinterpret your post now again, hehe? Ah, I'll stop before I confuse myself or others even more
