The place to speak about Dev's current projects, and everything yet to come

I'm not sure how many of you are signed up to this list; but if you're not, give it a whirl:

http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/hevydevy

This list goes back about 10 years or so—at least to the year 2000. Back in the day it was a very active mailing list, but with the addition of this forum the list pretty much died. Eventually the spammers took over. But for some reason many of us hung on, ocassionally flooding each others' e-mail boxes with old school nonsense and Devy love. Haha.

That happened recently, and since so many of us still hold out hope that the list will go active again, I asked Tracy to make me a moderator of the list so I can clear out the spam accounts. She made it happen. (She'd actually forgotten about the list herself.)

Anyway, if anyone is interested, the link is above. It's not a forum, but it serves the same purpose, only, I think, it's a bit more intimate and less like a chatroom. Plus it's great for those who can't surf the net from work but are allowed to e-mail and whatnot.

Good plan, I'll check it out :)

EDIT: Oh wait, how are you going to deal with Ziltoid Spoilers? I'd like to wait to hear the album until I have the CD is my own hands (CD player rather) and I wouldn't want to hear/read too many details before that time.

EDIT #2: I'm in :)

We haven't discussed Ziltoid aside from the MySpace tracks and me saying "Planet Smasher" rules (because that's the other song I've heard).

I'm kind of not getting a lot of emails from this. Is that correct?

I hardly get emails, either, from there.

Create an account. You can use whatever e-mail account you want.

And no, there's not a lot of e-mails that get sent out. That's the reason why I posted this here. The list used to be very active. You could get 100 e-mails a day. Once this forum opened, though, it's died a quick death.

So, we should start posting stuff? I usually like to lurk to see what's up on a board or mailing list rather than just start posting away.

Pretty much. That's basically why the list sits dead for so long. No one sends anything. Then once someone does send something—sadly, usually a response making fun of a spam e-mail—everyone starts replying. It's always like, "Holy shit! You're still signed up to this list?" Haha.

But once people start letting the e-mails fly, the list is pretty cool.

Well, maybe we could start discussing the myspace songs. Speculate about the future of Ziltoid. Something like that.

That'll get things going, no doubt. Some of Devin's oldest fans are on the mailing list, so Devy talk always generates e-mails.

I just sent something non-Devy related...
