I've seen like 5 gigs so far where they've been to vancouver, and the irony of the fact that they're playing a gig in vancoucer on feb 11th. why the vancouverness?! why can't they come to england =[. I mean sure, I'd fly to vancouver to see them live, but it might help if I had a bit more money than what I have right now.

They are from Vancouver! Thats where Dev and (I think) the others live, and what's more convenient than playing a gig around the corner?

And I didn't know they're playing Feb 11th, where did you see that?

Well SYL is a much bigger band than DTB, more well-known and they have a much bigger record label too. That makes it pretty much a duty to tour the world. I believe that's how Devin feels about touring too. And SYL can headline, where DTB would probably be supporting for another band.

Besides, I don't think he can be missed around the house with Reyne, so they set this up near home ;)
And another factor is that Devin is always working on 12 projects at the same time, there's no time for much touring in his schedule!

But I'm pretty sure the DTB will tour through Europe someday! I've noticed them getting more and more popular, Synchestra definitely had a hand in that. And I know the other DTB guys are aching to get out there! :D
They toured a bit with Opeth (and Devildriver if I recall correctly) in the USA earlier this year, and there were rumours of DTB supporting Fear Factory in Europe but that didn't work out, we got a Strapping Young Lad headlining tour instead. So they basically owe us one! :P

that's true actually. I like syl but I'd prefer not to go to the concerts because of the fact that it's all about the "metal" of syl and not so much about the "devin townsend factor" behind the music. I'm not saying I don't like metal or anything, I'd just have to be in the right mood for it, whereas I favour dtb. I do hope they come to europe though
