I would actually love to see SYL play Reading/Leeds festival and completely blow whatever flavour of the month band were unfortunate enough to follow them off the stage.

Disagree, if they'd have the resources for a "theatrical" stage set and light show (Wildhoney-era Tiamat or Tool for example), they would work perfectly in front of huge crowds. Image the "hey hey" parts in Vampira chanted by 20.000+ people...!
