Alright alright... So what is everyone's favorite moment of the album?

I have a few..

-The little drum bit in Baby Song
-After the monotonous clapping and cheering in A Simple Lullaby, when the riff kicks in.
-Mental Tan. That melody is hot sex
-I really dig the "shame on you for nobody's free from sin!!" bit in Judgement.

2 favourite moments.

1 The 'diggadiggadigga' bit in Hypergeek... when that kicks in on a decent pair of headphones I almost shit myself.

2 The 'Hoo Yeah, Hoo Yeah, Hoo Yeah, Hoo YEEEAAHHHHH' bit in Sunshine and Happiness...

But the whole of the fucker is brilliant.

I love the "Hypergeek" part, when the intro cuts out and you get that booming shit going.

I love the Rainforest in Notes From Africa, I wish that woud have lasted a lot longer.

Love the beggining of "Judgement"

- The awesome part in Notes From Africa beginning at 2:53 and lasting around a little bit more than 30 seconds

- Sunset, from half the song to the end of the song.

- Simple Lullaby, the part at 3:25 with the vocal melodies.

- Hypergeek, when the double-kick drums kick iN all the way to the end.

-Triumph, I don't know why but the chorus gives me goose bumps.

There are other parts but I can't remember them all. This album is too incredible. But am I the only one who really doesn't dig Vampira and Sunshine and happiness?

So I haven't heard the album yet, but I'm interested to know exactly how heavy this thing is. Dev commented that it was bludgeoningly heavy. Can anyone who has heard it relate the heaviness to another album of Devin's?

Is it like...Physicist heavy?

Honostly, I think it is the mellowest Devin Townsend/DTB album yet. There are some heavy parts in it, but it is filled with a lot of soft points. There a few faster paced songs, but they are nothing like Physicist. Think Earth Day heavy for a few of them, and Nobody's Here heavy for most of the other stuff.

That's quite cool.

Hmm, weird, I think it's definately heavier than Terria, I'm hesitant to say it's heavier than the rest (except than Physicist) because the album is so varied. But indeed it's an 'Earth Day' sort of heavy instead of a 'Physicist' sort of heavy, it's heavy in an accessible way.

My favorite moments:

-The "shame on you, for nobody's free from sun...now you'll burn, burn BURN!" part in Judgement...so awesome.
-The part in Judgement where the melody from Mental Tan comes back
-In Notes from Africa where the lyrics from Love? come in.
-Pixellate, where Devy yells, "OH! THANK YOU! THANK YOOOUUUUUU!"

Too many others, and I wanna eat dinner.

One of the best vocal moments for me is in Pixellate when Devy contrasts the female vocals with:

"We are the river...we are the stone."

So fuckin good.

The entire Vampira, how it reminds me a lot of Bad Devil. Then the "digital" sounding part of Gaia and the guitar scale part after that reminding me of a musical orgasm

I love all the huge bass drops. Other highlights:

The guitar part in the chorus of "Vampira"
The clean parts. Dev should do a mellower album... the first track is amazing. So is the beginning of Hypergeek. The whole CD is too, but his clean stuff is just as good.
