Hi Tracy.

I was wondering. Did you like heavy music before you met Devin or did Devin introduce you to the genre? If you preferred other music, what kind of stuff did you dig?

Cheers
Scott

Ummm... I'm not a really heavy music kind of girl. The stuff I do like is more to the "alternative" (whatever that means anymore) side than the metal. Some of The bands Devin likes have rubbed off but not too many. I need melody. When we met I was into the beginnings of grunge and the more glammy metal (It was 1991 - it was cool then - honest). We had some crossover in Jane's Addiction and Soundgarden but the more extreme stuff never appealed to me. I did like Grotus though.

It was kind of funny because the local club we went to had Metal Mondays and Alternative Tuesdays. When we met my friends were indignant that I would start going Mondays instead. It was a bit of a betrayal. That Punky Bruster song "Heavy Metal Mama" has some truth behind it. Guess the ring through my nose was metal enough for him.

Strapping Young Lad must be hard to listen to then, for pleasure?

Some of it is, but most has melody so I like it.

I love some of that grunge stuff too, Soundgarden were awesome.

Do you like any Alice In Chains Tracy? They're one of my all time favs from the early 90's.
