Tracy, it seems like Devin writes quite a lot of his songs based on his experiences with you and your relationship with him.

Does he sit down and explain the lyrics with you as he writes or do you just know from your experiences where he is coming from? I know as a lyricist that lyrics can be hard to explain, especially more personal ones so I was wondering how Dev deals with it.

No explanations. I hear them on the record along with everyone else. If I ask he'll explain but usually he's kind of shy about it so I don't ask much. I have the benefit of context though so they probably make more sense to me than the average listener.
