Well, hell, since we're throwing out collabs that would give us super-duper wet dreams:
Kings's X with Dev at the helm AND sings twin lead with dUg.
There, I said it. Whatchoo gonna do?

Actually, I agree.
Not trying to digress but compared to what Devin comes out with, Opeth is extremely yawn-worthy.
I have sooooo tried to get into Opeth and while they do write decent songs, they are tiresome.
I find their songs rely too much on the "quiet part--->heavy part" or vice versa switch, and if they stick with quiet or heavy for more than 3ish minutes I get fidgety. Devin can play loud or quiet for an entire album at a time and it would still kick ass though.
I wouldn't really want Devin to collaborate with anyone, I thought it would be kinda cool if he were Hammers of Misfortune's new singer after Mike left... but I'd still want jon cobbett writing everything... so I wouldn't really be a collaboration. Just Devin's voice over amazing retro-metal.

Top quality quiet parts and top quality heavy parts. We're living in a world where many "quiet parts" in metal songs sound like whiney campfire lovesongs and "heavy parts" are ridden with blastbeats or doublebass-fests and vocalists suffering severe throat inflammations. Opeth gives you perfectly calm vocals, tasty rhodes/hammond sounds and drumming that actually has dynamics in quiet places and growl you can actually understand, guitar parts based on more than powerchords or tremolo pickings and great grooves in heavy parts. Their music sound pretty mature for ARARAGHHH metal. That's enough for me
Allright, Sounds Awesome and I can't wait! maybe now you can market to the mozart and beethoven loving high social class of our society. OOhh, maybe Sycophantia for a title or Sycophant Symphony Maybe if you weren't taking this one in a serious direction
Any release date ideas?
