The other day I was just thinking about how cool another Dev album with a Strat tone and with TONS of layers would be.

New album news so soon after Ziltoid is amazing plus the concepts Dev is talking about just leaves me wondering what to expect! I love it like that.

Looking back on it all, I really feel a huge sigh of relief. I honestly thought the man was going to pull back and not have any contact for awhile. Which would have been his right, of course. So, I am that much more appreciative that he's letting us into the new stuff so soon.

My rig now is Fender Strats, a Fender Vibroking, a tonebone plexi, a tape echo, a tc electronics chorus, a bh wha, a Keely compressor, with the reverb fx through a p.a, so as not to sacrifice tone... the fx will be the gforce.

I'll be more than happy to give your Mesa's a happy home if you're sick of them already!!

If he knows the album time and other info like the vocal stuff, he must be pretty close to being done with it.

And which record label would this be under?

If my memory serves me right, Devin mentioned this project about, I don't know, one and a half year ago here on the official forum. A very dynamic and Opeth-like record, combining heavy and mellow parts. Maybe somebody can dig up that old Devin post...

I thought Ziltoid would be that project - or a variation of it, but now I'm stoked! Again! Imagine an album à la Fredrik Thordendal's Special Defects, Devin style!
