Not all people involved with drugs are bad people. Its just a stereotype. (I dont sell drugs, nor do I ever plan on it, just talking about people I know).

I don't think pot is 'bad' actually, I don't concider it a drug but more in the class of alcohol, caffeine and tobacco.

I bet coffee is more addictive and harmful for your health than pot is. But coffee/caffeine addictions is accepted, unlike alcoholism, coffeeing and smoking

And as far as how it'll affect his music, I think that from here on, you're gonna see the absolute BEST stuff he's ever done. I think that him getting away from pot is going to clear his head and will open up his creative floodgates all the way and the material he does afterwards will be his best to date.

pot isnt that harmless...sure its affecting everyone in a different way...but i got a bad psychosis from smoking every day for about 3 years...i had serious depressions and was just completely fucked in my head...ive stopped it for about 2 months now and things are gettin better day by day....

People underestimate the effects of pot; some people can smoke it for years and come away relatively unscathed, others aren't so lucky. It affects people in different ways. Also, pot is generally stronger nowadays than it was, say, back in the 60's. The kids today are smoking hydro that screws with their heads a lot more quickly than weaker dope.

I started when I was about 16 and had a ball with it. Around my mid-20's it began to shift a little and the difference between fun and hell became clouded. I wasn't getting high anymore, I was getting depressed and anxious. The alcohol on top of it all didn't help either. I couldn't go anywhere without getting stoned, I couldn't leave the house, I couldn't listen or write music without getting high first, and so it went on.

Being free of pot and the shackles that go along with it is liberating to put it mildly. Good on Dev for having a shot of clarity.

I like the fact I can drive everywhere now & don't have to rely on public transport.
I like the fact I never wake up with a hangover
I like watching drunk people instead of being one.
I like singing more than I ever did drunk.

I prefer sitting around my house with my other stoner buddies talking shit, playing music and playing video games. I used to go to the pub after work with everyone but once I started smoking pot it stopped. Why throw so much money over the bar when you only feel like shit afterwards, you stink and you may have done some obnoxious shit.

Yeah I've had some good moments drinking with friends but now I just prefer the weed.

The fact of the matter is, its all about one's choice. If you smoke pot once, you will not die and you won't get skitzophrenia, however if you abuse pot then (you probably still won't die) but it will have negative effects.

I'd choose to drink again before I smoked pot again though.

Pot just fucks my head up nowadays, I think the body has a limit of how much THC it can cope with, mine passed it years ago & I was fooling myself that it was helping me when it wasn't.

My problem is that I overindulge. I get addicted to things too easily & tend to binge so when I want clarity the only solution is abstainence.

I write my best stuff when I'm anticipating or remembering being high.
When I'm high I write crap about the walls having eyes & other dull bollocks that every other stoner on the planet believes is the answer.
I saw God once, after eating a pack of shrooms, he was a vortex in the sky that took me to see a world made of tubes. What the crap was that all about?
