since you only listed your last "favourite band", what are the other bands which have been your "favourite" or youve loved hearing?

Favourites ever? I was a HUGE Duran Duran fan in 1983. I came of age in the hair metal/grunge era so all of those Skid Row, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Redd Kross, Faster Pussycat, Blind Melon, Faith No More, Saigon Kick, Jane's Addiction... A lot of people dismiss it but from 1989-1995 was a pretty darn cool time for music. I'd love to get that inspired again.

I am right there with ya on the '89-95 era! It was indeed a great time for music!! Then the inspiration came to a screeching hault. We could be so lucky to have an era like that again (with any genre).

People dismiss it? Everything was in its prime in the early 90s!

Someone told me once that they thought Kurt Cobain's death was symbolic of the death of music. I kinda agree with that. There is still good stuff out there, but its not as abundant anymore.

I always thought the B-Side "Late Bar" was a better track than "Planet Earth". Just my thought if you remember that first bit of vinyl......

That was a great time ! "Angel Dust" is still in my top ten albums ever - still hearing new stuff in it even now. Oh, and White Zombie of course, they were all over that period.

I don't listen to her as much as I used to, but I like Tori Amos. I think Boys for Pele is a pretty damn good album. Little Earthquake has several fine songs. The last couple of albums haven't been as strong. I think the last album I really liked was the Venus:Still Orbiting deal. But, I don't find her screechy. I like her voice. :-)

The last couple have paled badly, especially compared to the earlier stuff. I have them but they rarely get a listen. It's all very nice and stuff but she seems to have had her musical balls removed - the bites just gone from it.

Still very talented though, that's for sure, and when she plays the piano in that way of hers it's like foreplay - very sensual performing live.

Being happy will do that to you. :-)
