I remember him saying that he really doesn't like the song Irish Maiden and that it was rushed. I think he said that on the bonus commentary.
I like the song and I can't remember any other songs of his that I would say sound rushed but his standards are pretty high.

No, it was "Jupiter" that he wasn't crazy about.

yeah thats the only song i found to be behind the others just because i dont like the chorus
"wonerful... its wonderful"
ive got that commentary one too and he says that physicist was "ä step sideways more than forward" so he really dosent seem to like the album

I love Jupiter, just love the melody to it.
Physicist, I feel was kind of a sideward step though, it wasn't a step back at all, but it was a stab at something different. It gave him a chance to do something heavy, but not SYL heavy. The songs are written in a more song to song style, and they're all pretty melodic (outside of the trilogy).

Right, but he later said it's now one of his favorite tracks from the album.

Trilogy? What trilogy? O.o
Does every version of Physicist come with commentary?

I was speaking of Death, Devoid, and Complex. Those three are very aggressive and all kind of go together, and I think Devin made mention of that in the commentary, but don't quote me on that, I may have heard it somewhere else.

Jupiter is a great track, and so is Irish Maiden, but unfortuantely, it's the album I least feel like listening to, usually becuase it's too heavy for when I'm in the mood for Dev, and too happy when I want SYL.

Tracks like Namaste, Kingdom, Death, Devoid, Complex (sit i'm gonna name em all) are glorious. Its one of the lushest sounding records he's done.
Didn't Dev himself describe it as sounding like 'a chrome spaceship flying through space'?
Perfik. I remember reading in a monthly music mag that 'Fizzicist' was to be released in 2000, i'd heard nothing about it til it was almost out. Maybe it was rushed, but there's very little i could criticise on Phycisist.
Blah waffle etc fuck i blather on sometimes.

The best descriptions of Physicist came from Devin himself, not surprisingly:
"Speed metal pop songs"
and
"Fast, cool-sounding music"
I think that just about sums it up...

..And he should be spanked for that
Namaste, Planet rain & especially Jupiter rules in my book
But i think he also said that he likes it, when in the right mood

on the extra computer activated stuff on the physicist cd i thought devin said something that implied he wasnt happy with jupiter originally but it seemed to fit the cd when he listened to it again high on magic mushrooms
