Canada! A song this powerful could make a guy want to move to Canada, goddamnit!

I've only been listening to this album for a couple of days (many many spins though 8)) so I'm still in the phase of feeling this album out. Other early faves are Earth Day (duh?), Deep Peace, Down And Under and Stagnant.

that is an envious position (being on the 1st few listens) - I remember my 1st few listens, and it was amazing to go through those stages of really getting into different songs off the album. And the 1st time i heard the solo in Deep Peace was totally amazing. At the other end of the spectrum - after many many listens, it's is great just being so familiar with the somgs that you can hear every little sparkle.

I've said it before when chosing my favourite songs from Dev albums and I'll say it again - It's too fuckin' hard.

So it'll have to be a mix up between :

Mountain
Earth Day
Nobody's Here
Tiny Tears

Reading this poll inspired me to put Terria on. Hurrah.

"Earth Day" is, was and will always be my favorite song on Terria. I love the production (actually the production in general is really good), and all the time changes keep the song interesting and considering I have the attention span of a 2-year old, that is a huge compliment to the artist. The chorus is totally bad-ass and very SYL-ish. I also like the lyrics.

Lyrically, I also like "The Fluke" and would say this is my 2nd favorite. It has a nice flow and a great melody.

I wasn't that crazy about Terria when I first got it because I'm into the SYL stuff more than anything (fast and heavy), but with repeated listening it definitely grew on me. However, I loved "Earth Day" the minute I heard it. I never get sick of hearing it. It sends chills down my spine when I listen to it, I don't know why. It's just a really intense song.

Am I the only one that thinks Earth Day is an incredibly overated song? I mean it's good, but it's not Devy's best song, or even the best song on Terria.

I agree. I mean its a great song, but Devy has so many better songs. The Fluke is probably one of my favorites. Along with Suicide and Deep peace

Sure, it's amazing, But he has so many amazing songs. I just don't think Earth Day is Devy's defining song, like so many fans claim it to be.

fair enough! when i put on Terria, i really love when it gets to track 3 ;) and every other album has the song of same calibre which makes me excited, but Earth Day would have to go close as one of his best for me.

Almost one third of the votes so far went to Earth Day... There don't seem to be too many fans who call it overrated. Especially during the first listens it caught my attention - easy, it's such an epic track. Maybe my most played Terria track, followed by Deep Peace. It took a while until I appreciated the second half of the album as much as these standout tracks... Now I'd say that Terria is probably my favourite Dev album (depends on my mood) and there are just a few albums which are so phenomenal in their entirety. Including Down and Under and Olives as well - awesome!

On topic: Mountain is a true mindfuck... All these different parts combined in one huge song...

Off topic: Great avatar
