Let's start with the positive things... The guitars are really tight; if you did not cut and paste them, you really dived into the drums and followed them tightly. The sound is also pretty nice, even though the quality of MySpace mp3s is always awful.
The ideas are pretty nice, but there's definitly a lack of songwriting. I like the second song much more because that seems to be more of a song.
Syncopated drums are nice and ok to use, but don't forget to put in some standard 4/4 stuff too, or else it will get really boring, really fast. I'd really think about using a straightforward beat when playing these acoustic parts, like in the beginning of the second song.
The vocals are not my style, but I also have to say, that the vocal lines can be much more interesting. Just listen to Meshuggah, whose vocalist is all over the place, but keeps using interesting phrasing. Think about where you need power in the song, and then maybe again go for some more straightforward vocals, but powerful. Don't get me wrong, I love syncopated stuff, but the main problem is, that this can get really messy.
And like the other guy said, try to record a 4-track demo... preferably with a full band. If you don't have the technique, come over to Amsterdam, and I'll record one for you
