hi there man , ok , just listened to ya Niphilin stuff , and well , heres my opinion , now this music has great potential here , this to me is like a mix of Opeth and Gojira , and maybe a little bit of Hacride in there too , but ya want honest i give you honest!! lol , its very good , i love the technical, off beat stuff and weird time changes , so if ya want to make a real impact , get a 4 track demo out lol , keep up the good work man.

one more thing...............a little dev riff i noticed in there too haha.

Yeah i know that the sound quality is´nt that good, but I have just started to record my own songs. But the bass player of this band dad owns a very good studio so it is´nt a problem to record a good sounding demo. I just need to finish some more songs...

phew, totally not in the right mood for that kind of vocals, but the playing sounds decent, and the meshuggah-riffing is tight. cool!
maybe i'll give it another shot tomorrow with proper speakers nstuff. keep it up!

edit: scully, you kinda creep me out! why are you everywhere? no offense, i'm just surprized to meet that new york guy i've never heard of before three times in ten minutes while just checkin out my internets
bizarre...

Let's start with the positive things... The guitars are really tight; if you did not cut and paste them, you really dived into the drums and followed them tightly. The sound is also pretty nice, even though the quality of MySpace mp3s is always awful.
The ideas are pretty nice, but there's definitly a lack of songwriting. I like the second song much more because that seems to be more of a song.
Syncopated drums are nice and ok to use, but don't forget to put in some standard 4/4 stuff too, or else it will get really boring, really fast. I'd really think about using a straightforward beat when playing these acoustic parts, like in the beginning of the second song.
The vocals are not my style, but I also have to say, that the vocal lines can be much more interesting. Just listen to Meshuggah, whose vocalist is all over the place, but keeps using interesting phrasing. Think about where you need power in the song, and then maybe again go for some more straightforward vocals, but powerful. Don't get me wrong, I love syncopated stuff, but the main problem is, that this can get really messy.
And like the other guy said, try to record a 4-track demo... preferably with a full band. If you don't have the technique, come over to Amsterdam, and I'll record one for you ;)

Thank you for your detailed comment. And all the things youve said are actually things im not too happy about myself, but im still working on this song + becomming a better songwriter and singer. If I find the time I will rerecord the vocals and try to make the song flow better next week, and maybe finish another song. And for the record; this is actually just one song but I had to split it in two in order to upload it on myspace...

Yir!... Der har sgu´også været en del fede koncerter dernede på det sidste, specielt Behemoth og Textures var ret fedt... Jeg tror at filen er lidt for stor til at sende via mail? ( lidt over 10mb )...
