hi everyone,

i'd like to announce that i'm now officially one of these guys:

http://www.parityboot.com/

the site is just a little teaser for the upcoming album. as some have already read, i made the design for it, as i do all of the artwork for the band, which is cool as their music needs dark, blue-ish industrial art, which i love to make. the music has also quite a strong devy influence, and i think it rocks, so give it a try and add us on your myspace.

cheers :D

The site is savage cabbage!! I listened to Dying Here, the vocalist is quite talented indeed. Reminds me of early In Flames a bit. The 'Someone's dying here ..' etc. bit of the song is a lovely break in the harsh vocals earlier in the song. I can't find any complaints about the song. It's lovely.

Into Nothing, very catchy. I can definitely hear the Dev influence in the lyrical scheme of things. And it's slightly NiN-esque in places, there's a zippy noise and when it's backed by the heavy drumline it reminds me of Trent's recent stuff. Again, sans complaints! Especially the 'chorus'. The layering is very wall of sound - esque. And the 'No more..' part has lovely harmonies.

I'm too lazy to write reviews for the rest of the songs, but overall the demos were all class. And I don't commend bands for nothing, like.

(Give me ten quid.)

This sounds very nice. A little Dev, Fear Factory, Static-X and NIN.
The drums sound like they're sequenced, but if they're not, many compliments to your drummer. This shit is tight.
The samples connect nicely to the rest of the music; I'd only recommend hiring a synth/keys player to take the pressure away from the singer, so he can concentrate purely on the vocals / BG-guitar.
I'd love to see this band live, and since you are our neighbours, it will probably happen quicker than expected. Who knows, maybe we'll even share the same stage :)

Keep up the good work, this music will collect a lot of metalhead-hearts :P

Listening just now...wow...VERY impressive!

Extremely tight and massive production for a promo. Where/how was this recorded? It sounds huge.

Into Nothing has a few moments of SYL-like vibe, which is definitely a good thing! The second section of Dying Here reminds me very muchly of Dev. Totally awesome!

All tracks are really very good. Thanks for sharing! I have added the MP3s to my currently massive 'HevyDevy Forum' play list (wow...it has >170 songs at the moment!).

So, what is your role in the band at the moment?

Excellent stuff! It reminds me a bit of Ministry and Fear Factory combined. Less predictable than the latter have become, though.

I LOVE THIS.

seriously it is brilliant, especially for a demo. i expected it to sound similar to fear factory from the site layout, and i guessed right i suppose. you can see the influence of the DTB logo on the PB logo as well.

Hmm.. NIN on steroids... Really good stuff. I seriously dig this. IMO it would be even better if it was more melodic (catchy hooks), but I guess it isn't meant to be, so I'll just shut up :D I added these songs to my playlist as well, good tracks. Awesome production too. Keep 'em coming...

BTW, when will the album be available? Will it be released on the net someplace?

my goodness! that's what i call feedback :D:D:D
thanks for all the appreciation, and let me look for some answers...
the guitars were recorded in a studio (don't exactly know where, though, but professional equipment was involved). if i recall correctly, the drums were recorded in the rehearsal room, and they're completely real, so: no programming here.
all the rest of the music was done at home by the singer/guitarist/composer, but i don't know where he recorded the vocals (which rock, IMO).

i recently replaced their second guitarist (still practicing hard), but originally got in touch with the band because i made an artwork for them.
now it seems like i've become the trinity of cover artist, guitar player and public relations-dude.

there's a lot of old tracks floating around on their old site - http://www.parity-boot.de - since the band has been around since 1996-ish.

i linked the site to a few friends, but they found the name "parity boot" suspicious for a site :P
