So as you guys may or may not know (probably not), for the last year or so I've been recording my own music. I finally decided to make a band profile on Myspace and upload it. Read the Band Bio for more info. Listen in order and post any and all comments you want and add the profile as a friend if you want (if you dig the music). Thanks.

it's a good start, but I think it needs to go somewhere. put a guitar solo in maybe? add a bit of distortion? maybe add some backing effect even? it's a good base for music, but you need to build on that base to create something awesome =].

yo, just listening right now. the prologue is kinda unspectacular, but i totally dig the other two songs. they don't even need vocals, if you ask me, the sounds are interesting enough. thumbs up!

produce some more, will you? it's just the right kind of music to sink into when it's cold'n'dark outside.

feel free to check out our stuff, too (knorke suedfrucht).

I'd say it would be a great idea to check out Ike's stuff personally =D.

Dude, I really dig 'A Simple Prologue.' great chord combination... The others are enjoyable too, but A Simple Prologue is still my favorite.

Hmm... Listening to 'Of Neglection And Woe' all the way through this time, I really like it. It's strange, sort of ethereal. I like the idea of mostly using acoustic guitar, and I love hearing the instrument in a context like this. You know how to write a good song, man... Keep it up!

I really liked all of this! Kind of simple, but well recorded. Atmospheric, dark and sort of psychedelic.

Keep it up!

just listening to it through headphones rather than the crappy lappy speakers. the atmosphere is great: it's got something cool and cleansing to it without being depressive or particularly dark. that's not easy to achieve. also, the tunes sound even more alien/strange like this. cool cool stuff. ah yeah, and: neglected spoon is one great band name!

Thanks guys. Just keep in mind that it's all one piece. That's why prologue is short and simple. It's just an little ominous opening that I'll end the piece with a variation of. Oh and "Of Neglection and Woe" doesn't have any acoustic guitar ;) . Post your thoughts on the myspace page and promote it to your friends. I have two ideas for the next part. One sounds like "Radioactive toy" by porcupine tree and the other is a weird arpeggio guitar thing in 7/4.

It reminds a lot of the "The Human Equation" album by Ayreon, only mellower/gloomier and without vocals :) Also I can certainly see the Opeth and Porcupine Tree influence. I like it :)

aah, the glorious 7/4 time signature. I spend spare time coming up with 7/4 riffs which are hard to tell from 4/4 riffs. I love subtle time changes =D. they are t3h sh17

yea 7/4 loops so well. Isn't the opening of "To bid you farewell" by Opeth in 7/4? That's kind of what I made up.
