I'm vaguely pleased with the way it's going, although I'm a tad annoyed because I can't seem to find a program that actually lets you burn cd's without a gap in between them. Nero Fast Burn claims to, but there's still a half second gap between all of the tracks, which basically defeats the object of the whole "No Gaps Between Tracks" tick box option -_-.

I know that i have a really small gap between tracks if I burn them directly from mp3 to CD format. It's annoying for live recording. To prevent that I have to convert the file into .wav, then remove the really small gap manually, and then burn the .wav to CD.

burning in .wav format gets rid of the little gap?

those are all the links so far. I decided to put all these here since I tend to wander off after doing about half an hour and not bother doing anything else. so just in case I don't and decide to close the album there, then here is the possibly complete album.

Yup. You should also never, never burn mp3s to a CD for a final version of an album or anything like that, use the original lossless wavs instead. I know it's probably horribly obvious, but I wasn't sure if you were doing that or not when you mentioned burning your songs to a CD as mp3s.

By the way, 'Repressor' totally reminds me of Killer7 music, especially the two chords at 0:26 and 0:29 respectively-- That's so Killer7! :P I love that game and it weird-ass soundtrack. It's really clipped and crackly though, but I dunno if that's intentional or not.

there are supposed to be a few crackles in it, but they are meant to be more subtle. maybe it's just my aux cable being annoying again =/. but the crackles were supposed to be slightly unnerving, making the enjoyable/annoying side of the music 50/50, a lot like the end of Sum by Meshuggah.

Well if they aren't accidental, then it works well for it. Didn't subtract from it for me, at least.

well as long as it DOES work. the random little beeps in the background are supposed to add to that effect. I'm mostly proud of Machine-At-Arms personally, although it's the longest track. I'm not sure why, but everything seemed to work for that track.

ok yes I AM going to bother continuing with the project thing, because I'm pretty happy with it =D. The Minimalist is so far my favourite track, if you ignore the show off keyboard solo in it. it's the halfway turning point for the album, and from there on it's gonna be more epic than dark as the first half of the album was.
