Ignore my PM.

This is the first time I've heard "Suicide," very nice. The harsh vocals sound very strained, but everything else is spot on! Excellent work. I'm listening to the rest now...will let you know what I think...

If you're ever looking for vocals on a collab track, let me know.

Methinks that Eyesore is trying to pull a Pet Shop Boys.

"I've got the brains, you got the brawn...let's make lots of money"..

Just kidding, Eyesore

Update for SHADOWS: MUSIC FOR DREAMING

I'm pretty excited about this one. I've just done something like six hours of mixing for this album. It's all written and I just need to do some guitar overdubs, some keyboard overdubs and vocals for three tracks and then this one is done.

Mixing it has been something of a bitch because of Logic Audio's tendency to clam up when you're running too many synths and plug-ins but you get that. I'm just bouncing shit down to audio tracks and removing the soft versions so I can actually save this shit. Now, a tracklist for anyone that cares:

01 A Faint Reflection
02 Neon
03 In Winter
04 Spacewalk
05 The Drifting
06 Stir
07 Each Sunrise
08 The Ocean pt I
09 The Ocean pt II
10 The Ocean pt III
11 To Touch
12 Perfect

So there ya go... This album is for my dear friend Nancy, she is having a very rough year and I wanted a calm, chillun album for her to relax to. I started writing with 'The Drifting' on the last day of July and finished writing with 'The Ocean pt II' a few days ago.

When I get a bunch of mixes done I'll make an acetate disk to start listening to before I finalize it, and at this time I'll post some tracks for you guys to hear. Until then check out the latest developements with My Neuroses... I'm very proud of all three of the new mixes. OK, I'm off; thanks for taking the time to get this far, if indeed you have!

Hey people

I've been doing more work on the big one, My Neuroses, and I've managed to sort out pretty much all of the lyrics I'm going to need for the entirety of the album. In doing this, I've finalised the track list and I can't really see any reason for variation from this version so I figured I may as well post it in case anyone remotely cares:

MY NEUROSES

01 SURGERY
02 ALVINA
03 THOUGHTS LIKE WORLDS (w/HUMAN?)
04 INCLINGS OF A DAY
05 ENTWINE
06 COMPLICATED (w/FRAY)
07 PASSIONATE (w/GENTLE)
08 TO ALL INVOLVED (APOLOGIES)
09 THE YIN OF ME
10 EXCRUCIATE
11 BITTER
12 WITHIN THE TEMPLE
13 A SONG FOR GOD/A SONG FOR OURSELVES
14 AMONGST THE NEBULAE

I'm not going to throw a release date on this one because it is still a ways off. There is one song yet to recieve any music and then two thirds of the rest of it need completion as far as the arrangements go. Once all of that is done, I'm going to start tracking the proper takes etc... I'm still essentially demoing the entire album so that when I go in to do the proper recordings I know exactly what I'm going for and don't waste time on it.

Four of the more complete tracks are currently available on my Soundclick page (see the address in my first post)

Thanks for taking interest

Greg

Greg, I downloaded all the songs from the site you linked to...and I have listened to them all once. I am very impressed by the standard of every song, but I definately need to hear them all again.

Quality stuff though, keep going!

Thank you! I'm glad you liked them. I've put stuff in there that you'll start hearing on your tenth or eleventh listening so the more you hear it the more it will expand for you :)

Good stuff Greg. It's cool to hear a fans perspective of re-doing a DTB song. You got a really heavy vibe going on in this version of "Suicide" and I was surprised with the vocals ! Pulling Dev off vocally ain't easy at all and you did an admirable job ! Keep up the good work bro....

All the best,

RVP

Ryan, it's an honor to hear that from you. Much love to you and the guys and I hope all is well with Synchestra. From what I'm reading it sounds like a killer!

OK, I have completed all of Music for Dreaming except for the vocals for the five tracks that will feature singing. Those will be recorded in around a month's time, so in between now and then I will be playing my disk on as many systems as possible to refine the mixes. I've already done a fair bit of tweaking and I'm very happy with the sound of the tracks so far but I want to be sure!

Anywayz I have uploaded two of the tracks for you to listen to. Neither are indicative of the entire album, it swings between too many genres... However, they will give you an idea of how diverse this album is, even when compared to my usual stuff.

So the updates are at http://www.soundclick.com/gregreason in the Music section. 'Complicated' is still at the top, but beneath that is 'A Faint Reflection' and 'In Winter'. I hope you dig it and feel free to post any comments below. Peace!

Awesome tracks Greg, again I am very impressed.

I really love the electronic kind of beat in A Faint Reflection, very trippy.

I will be listening to these again!

Well... I have been very busy over the last ten hours or so and am very tired... but before I go to bed, I want to post this song I just made. David/Blazingmonga has some ideas that he will no doubt post about shortly and when I heard about them I got an idea for a song that I can contribute to his cause so I wrote it and recorded it and mixed it and so here it is...

http://www.soundclick.com/gregreason

It's called "The Cosmos". I know the vocals don't sound very good - they were recorded very early in the morning when the sun was coming up so I had to be a little quiet and also I only had a shit hundred-dollar mic handy, but anywayz... Other than that it worked out ok I think. Enjoy!

That was really nice...a bit different to what I have heard from you before. The vocals actually work really well...them being quiet and soft suits this song!

And yes...it is true, I am working on something...and I shall be able to announce it soon, hopefully.

I think I should check this forum a bit more often  Whoa, dude...your stuff is the shit! Really enjoyed each song and I listened to all. Some stuff reminds me of Dev, other stuff of Zombi, etc, etc. The song "surgery" for example sounds like Dev meets King Crimson meets Meshuggah...kind of. I'm very impressed! And all the electronic and ambient stuff is great too.
