Sweet! The buzzsaw guitar tone reminded me a lot of Annihilator's 'Waking The Fury' album. Lots of people hated that tone, but I love it.

Real thrashy stuff you've got here-- my only real complaint is that the kick drum is a bit quiet, in some of the thrash beat sections it's easy to loose track of the beat and think the snare is leading. A more up-front kick would get rid of that issue. Not saying you should make it ultra-clicky or anything (I'd recommend you not do that actually :P), but a bit louder would be nice.

Keep it up!

more metal:

beware: this is not smooth, nice, slick dream theater type metal. this is raw shit.

played around with compressing the drums on Dead and Buried. i think i got em hitting pretty hard. you can feel the snare drum like a smack in the face.

listen to it really loud for maximum enjoyment.

This is pretty sweet stuff, raw and heavy. Some bass and vocals would be cool. As I said, totally reminds me of Annihilator's Waking The Fury album, it's got a really similar feel and the tone is dead on. Heard the album?

thanks.

i have never heard Annihilator.

since my neighbors dont appreciate my 5150 half stack, im stuck recording direct. its just a boss mt-2 metal zone pedal (which i only use when recording direct, never when playing through the 5150). my guitar is a jackson rhodes pro (one of the original, made in the usa models from early 90's) with a seymour duncan pearly gates pickup in the bridge. i also use a boss dd-6 delay and a ibanez weeping demon wah (used on the solos on Suck Me). i only use pedals because i absolutely hate rack effects.

i think most of my tone comes from my playing style. its more obvious when i play through my 5150 (i prefer tubes over solid-state anyday).
