[Blazingmonga]

Hi there everybody!

This thread is to bring your attention to a new 'song' created by Josiah Tobin and myself. Just for fun!

Mr Tobin sent me a short track called 'Caged' which was outstanding in its own right, and my objective was to mess it up (Mong it up?!) to create some kind of hybrid monster with which to freak people out. This was interesting to make because Josiah is an excellent musician who has incredible studio and production skills, so it was fun to take that level of ability and 'ruin' it.

Anyway, the 'song' is called "Caged Mango". Mr Tobin has kindly suggested I upload it onto my soundclick account so that I may spam it around. Find it at the top here:

Also, this is an excellent time to promote Josiah's main project, Swimfail, which I find to be absolutely fascinating. I have heard much excellent music on these forums, but this is among the most unique. Some strange combination of industrial metal and noise with electronic ambient soundscapes. Very detailed, intensely layered and totally hypnotic. (Fair description, Josiah?)

Man, I'd still say you improved upon this song rather than 'ruined' it, but hey... I suppose the art of sampling in itself is kinda 'ruining' the source sounds anyway, isn't it?
