I'm thinking of learning either Norwegian or polishing up on my Polish (which was practically beginner to start with)...

Which one's easier?

I'll probably end up learning both, just I want to start with an easier one first.

Well, Norwegian was one of the languages who had most influence on english, so that might be a good idea. But I'm very biased, don't listen to me.

What?????

Ha! Viv did you mention that?

just teasing my frenchies...
serious: I think too you should give the nordic tongue the chance.
Because its really closer to english.
I know some parts in polish and have friends in poland, but I can tell you...in my case it´s really hard to learn.

Swedish is quite hard to learn, or so I´ve heard. So many exceptions from the gramma rules

Not that hard for an Englishman maybe. I am starting to pick up some portuguese. Nothing useful, just swearing. Caralho!

Hehe, well cursing correctly is of course the most important thing. :)
Always fun to teach foreigners wrong...a friend of mine spent a weekend at a hotel in finland with his band, thinking he was being polite shouting "hirvenpasta" everyday to the hotel personal... :D
