Im not that into philosophy or anything, but all you guys seem to be pretty smart, and I've heard Devin talk about Free Will vs. Fate a couple times, so I thought this would be a good place to ask a question thats been on my mind lately.

If all of our actions can are based situations out of our control, can people really be blamed for their actions? Where does Free Will come in (if at all)? This has been on my mind lately, and wondered if anyone had thoughts.

Sure people can be blamed. Yes, our brains are as deterministic as anything else, but all that means is that whatever decision we make was the one we were definitely going to make, not that we aren't choosing at all. And besides, I am definitely going to blame people. Of course, the spiritual sense of "free will" doesn't really exist, if anyone knows what I'm talking about.
