Cropping Halp?

Hello everyone. :) I've been away for a while because I'm so bogged down at college, although most people probably won't have noticed or cared. Anyway, I'm back now to ask a favour of anyone who knows anything about music editing on any level.

I'm doing a project for my Peer Teaching class. We can pick any topic we like and give a four-minute presentation on it to our peers. I've decided to do one called "Dispelling Popular Misconceptions Regarding the Genre of Metal". So basically I have my introduction; I explain the title a bit and then play a clip from Ki (as in the title track).

Here's the problem though; it can only be around a minute long. I want to incorporate the crescendo, but what with that being in excess of three minutes, I'd only be left with one minute for my presentation... I need to clip it so that I just have the following three segments-
4:18 - 4:38
6:11 - 6:34
6:56 - 7:20
That plays the first part of the final crescendo, the entire wall of sound and Dev's operatic vocals at the crescendo. Then I'll talk about the diversity of genre within the clip, layering and how metal isn't necessarily heavy screamy crap that people see it as. To conclude I'm going to play the Crazy in Love? mix with Beyoncé and Dev.

So that's the lesson plan, but I need either software recommendations so that I can do the mixing, or for somebody to do it. I only have until Tuesday next week (13th October) to prep it and it'd probably take me ages to figure out all the workings of a programme which is any way complex. Can anyone let me know of any freeware I could do it on? Or do it for me? Please? It'd be your way of spreading the Dev, because I'll be playing it to generic empty-headed fuckwits who don't know the first thing about music which doesn't have an irritating tempo, entirely computerised sound or continually repeating something about sexy baby love drugs...

tl;dr - can you please make me a clip of Ki with 4:18 - 4:38, 6:11 - 6:34 and 6:56 - 7:20?

I could give it a shot. I like to think I know a tiny bit about pasting songs together (I made an Infinity remix with the originally intended tracklist which I think totally rawks, but I may be alone in that opinion), although I've never tried it with pasting sections of the same song together. May be interesting to try that... I'm going home in a few minutes (no internet there) but if I manage to make something tonight which I think is decent, I could send it over by tomorrow (PM your email address or something).

Woohoo, overuse of parentheses!

It's actually quite easy if you have a DAW, and know how to use it. Needless to say I have a DAW and I can use it to some degree.

If Swerve's product isnt what you want (which it probably will be, I have the oddest feeling he's slightly better with audio editing software than I am) I could give it a shot.

It's done, I just need a place to send it to. All major online storage sites are inaccessible for me, so I'll need an email. PM or mail to me at my gmail, which is the same as my username on here. Hope it's what you're looking for. :)

-edit: never mind, sent it to leechy.

I love that idea for a school project! Make sure to tell us what grade you got...

Working my way through all the new posts since I left last week (this will take quite a while..), but you're welcome. Still think the transition from the first to the second loop could be more subtle/elaborate, but for the empty-headed fuckwit audience it should be fine. :P Good luck today.
