Funniest thing I have ever heard about 2012 was by Neil Tyson (the astrophysicist)

"They say the center of our galaxy, our sun, the moon, and earth will all align...but what they fail to say is that this happens every December 21st. It will happen this year too"

If you listened to it, it suggests nothing unusual will happen on 21-12-2012, it's what's happening NOW (in YOUR heart) that's important. And a window from 2007-2015.
