Hi there,

First post here, been a huge Dev fan for ten years and thought I'd share something really cool with the other fans here.

So I was just playing Fallout 3 on the xbox 360 and I came across a computer terminal in the new DLC add-on package 'Broken Steel' that has lyrics from 'Detox' hidden in its text.

Also the Administrator who wrote the messages had the intials D.T. and the mainframe name is SYL-02.

The message reads as follows: 'I wish i could just get to sleep and get this over with... this is only high school bullshit. I'm lost, I'm freaking, and everybody knows, everyone's watching.'

For those with the game, the computer terminal is in the Presidential Sub Level, in a side room just after a turret and some robots.

This made my day, and I hope that poeple here will find it at least interesting :)

Post back if you find it!

Holy shit dude, I have to find this! They did the same thing with Fear Factory's song Archetype, "the infection has been removed, the soul of this machine has improved" in the technology museum.

Yeah I found that too, it was really cool :)

Both bands that Gene Hoglan has drummed for, I wonder if he secretly works at Bethesda hehe

And it's signed by B.Bell :). There's tons of references there, like overseer of that musicians' vault named Richard Rubin. Another reason to like this game and its developers.

Just another reason why Fallout 3 is the best game EVAR. Can't wait to get back to playing it when these blasted exams are finished...

Aw man, that would have just been beyond awesome. My favorite musician soundtracking my favorite game... it would be too much for my poor brain to handle haha

I remember reading things like that in the game, and thinking 'where is that from' made me laugh when I met Mr. Crowley as well

I hadn't seen this thread yet but discovered this by accident today (hadn't played the game for ages due to the nonstop freezes and bugs). First I was kind of doubting until I saw the initials of the mechanic who wrote it : D.T. and an SYL mention.
Then I also found this : http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3 ... references
Quite a lot of them.

Fix'd. And let us not forget the amazing "Planescape: Torment", nor stop waiting for a sequel. And let us not forget how they've even managed to make a game based on D&D post-2.0 actually playable, despite the fact that on pen-and-paper, it's not.

Just don't mention the Wizards... :furious:

I noticed the Fear Factory lyrics before, haven't played through Broken Steel yet.
