Dumping someone or getting dumped?

Getting dumped on has my vote.

But yes, getting serious, I'd have to say (while it depends on the circumstances) that getting dumped would be more harsh. Usually if you are going to break up with someone, you already have a reason to want to be separated from that person...if you are the "dumpee," then it could blindside you and really hit you hard. "Love is about control" as the mighty SYL have said, and I guess this situation is no exception.

Being dumped, obviously.

yeah, being the "dumper" is easier, not fun or anything, of course, but as said before you have
reasoned the break up already to yourself etc.

So my vote goes to getting dumped.

Never been a dumpie myself, but being dumped does suck. So I vote for that...though whenever I'm saying/reading dump here, it makes me think people are talking about poop, and I "lol".

But yes, I also wonder why you ask?

well usually like, in my experience, the first feeling you get after being dumped is sort of a doleful numbness.

when you're on the other side of the fence, though, the first thing you feel is relief.
