Red Harvest - A Greater Darkness

So god damn heavy, pompous and sinister. Jimmy screams out the lyrics with such emotion you'd think he was struggling his way through a filthy fucking industrial purgatory. LRZ's synths and keyboards stinks of rot and decay. Erik must have used some sort of heavy mining equipment for drums. Like taking a ten ton hammer to your head. A gigantic pitch black fucking monolith.

Great album. Didn't actually grab me as much as the others upon first listen, but I played it a second time the other day and I really got it. Heavy as hell, perhaps not as 'gritty' a sound as their other albums (the guitars at least), but it still has quite a bit of that sort of sour, static-filled industrial sound that they've made their own.

I hear a lot of 'Hybreed' and 'Cold Dark Matter' in it, the slower stuff of those Album...but with a better sound!

Thanks for the MP3. The first 3mins, I thought what the heck but it seems to have an enormous growth. Great song and I hope it grows more and more.

-Edit: Do I hear a bit of Moonspell within the last 3mins?

I posted about this in Recent purchases before I noticed this thread here.

This is one of their best for sure. I have loved this band for a real long time now!
I am may be going crazy, but the orchestration in "Warthemes" reminds me of the soundtrack to "Dune" (the one with Sting in it). Has anyone else noticed this?

just found this nice little video

it's a live video of the song 'Antidote'...not the entire song unfortunately but it's still pretty darn good!
