well i guess they can regulate whats being sold on their website
like they dont sell porn stuff either, or alcohol
im not defending the point of view, just saying they can restrict whats sold if they want
besides its a dated story

This is a bit sad to see, because I am sure some of those bands are not to be taken so seriously. Or maybe not, I don't really know.

Must be hard to draw the line with music, seen as eBay already doesn't sell a lot of things. If you don't sell nazi memorabilia, why should you sell nazi music? Or music that certainly heads in that direction at least.

Ack.

How can they ban music based on genre? If I were selling black metal and they'd ban it for being black metal, I'd just say "That's not black metal, that's.... er... really dark grey metal" or something, just stick a different label on it.

Just shows the futility of giving labels to anything. I like the example I see on the back of my copy of Terria..."File under metal". Doesnt say what kind it is, its just metal!

Soon we will see people selling Burzum records under the tags 'country' or 'rap' music. It might work.

Man, Varg's gonna get pissed if they began selling his music as rap-music! :D

Errrm eBay.co.uk & .com does sell nazi memorbilia. Also with regards to burzums albums you'd struggle to find anything even the slightest part fascist the first ep & aske are about goblins and shit anyway.

Surely to be none hypocritical Ebay should have to ban Rap music, not only for certain acts glorifying violence but for being sexist as well as racist?

I once bought a vibrator off ebay, how come they'll sell them yet not sell porn? :s

I've just read on their site that Used clothing is questionable items to sell. I've sold many a pair of boots I don't wear anymore on there...whoops :).

I am sure there is great hypocrisy in all this.

Though I did think eBay had a ban on nazi stuff.

Hmm.
