He's bringing the Dark Side of the Moon show to town!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently he's doing an extended version of the album that he wanted to do back in the day but couldn't because of technical problems.
Either way the posters onyl went up this mornign so I can't confirm any dates other than Brisbane's but either way he is going ot be at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on February 5th.
That is going to be crazy shit for me because I'm doing damn near two weeks worth of concert going just prior to that (two Big Day Outs, two Tool side shows, a Muse side show, who knows what else...)
But yeah!!!!!! What a fucking win. Australian promoters had to pick either Waters or Gilmour because of their policy to not bring out two artists with the same sort of setlist.... I'm glad they chose Roger. He actually plays "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" for fuck's sake! Gilmour doesn't go near the classic shit.

Roger Waters played here during the summer. Unfortunately, I couldn't have gotten tickets even if I did have the money. I did lend my Division Bell t-shirt to my friend to see if he'd get pissed off and come offstage to beat him up. He didn't.

I'd like to see him do the wall, don't know about seeing him do Dark Side. It doesn't feel right to me, dark side needs Gilmore or it just doesn't work. I know Roger wrote it, but you just can't replace David with anyone.... I mean serioulsy they would need Devin to get it to work as well. I'll probally still go anyway but don't know how I'll feel about it.

In all seriousness, if he did all of The Wall instead of Dark Side I would not go. I'd probably fall asleep in my seat, not very good value for my ticket money

I have no idea! I don't even know who's bringing him out as neither Ticketek or Ticketmaster have updated their sites to include him.

Woot. I'm flying to Melbourne to watch Tool, so I'll be seing 2 Big Day Ooots, Tool at the Music Bowl, and now Roger Waters back in Perth. Lucky the Muse show in Melbourne sold out before I heard about it or I'd be even more broke than I will be by the time February rolls around....

I love Roger Waters, but for some terrible reason he was booed off the stage here in Indiana. Stupid hillbillies.

Are you talking about the show about a month ago?
I was there and he wasn't booed off! It was an amazing concert! I only saw half of the set due to the fact that VWMC was only using one parking lot, but it was great. I'm so glad that I went and it was definitlely worth the ticket price.
