RIP Peter Brock

Non-Aussies will probably have no idea who Brocky is, but he died today in a crash during a Targa rally in Western Australia.
For the uninitiated, Peter Brock (aka Peter Perfect or King of the Mountain) was THE motor racing icon in Australia. He won Bathurst 9 times (1000km race at Mt Panorama, the 2nd best racetrack on Earth after the N-Ring) and won 3 touring car championships.
He was also well known as a patron for several charities, including his own Peter Brock Foundation.
It might not sound like a huge deal but, for better or worse, V8 racing cars are a cultural icon in Australia and his loss will be felt as keenly as that of Steve Irwin, if not more so. He was well known as a "good bloke"... he always had endless time for fans and was a fanatical Collingwood Football Club supporter (he was clearly a deeply intelligent man).
Let's hope Brocky is teaching Senna a thing or two in the racetrack in the sky.
Onya Brocky...
