I was just wondering what everybody else is reading lately. I read... a lot. I figured with most of the people on this forum being rather intelligent, you guys probably read a lot too! Anyway, I thought I'd start this thread. I hope it works and I don't look like a total jerk.

Lately I've been reading The Wing Chun Compendium. It's an awesome book about Wing Chun, probably the best book I've ever read about a martial art. I read about martial arts a lot, and most of them just really don't translate physical motions and spirtiual beliefs well. This one's different, and it's getting me really interested in taking some Wing Chun. I'd recommend it to any martial artist..

Anyway, what have you guys been reading?

Well, I just finished Stephen Kings Bag of Bones. I've read and liked most of his books, but this one was real mediocre. Well, the ending was anyway.
It was no Black House. I'm going to read From a Buick 8 next. I've heard its good

I dont read much, but this week I did start to read a book called "Watch my back". It is a dude called G.eoff Thompson's autobiography and pretty much about all the people he has had to deal with during his career as a bouncer. Very interesting to read about a 'life of violence' and he is actually a very intelligent guy. Pretty inspiring stuff.

Also a good book to read if you are in any way interested in martial arts (the guy is a trained killer!).

Just re-read The Prestige, by Christopher Price as they're releasing a film adaptation soon, that Christopher Nolan is directing. It's about the rivalry between two victorian magicians.

They're trying to teach me stuff from books at school. I keep resisting tho

Sigmund Freud: Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality.

Mmh.. I generally don't read fiction, but I've lately been reading a lot of manga, the first Love Hina book, the first few Hellsing books, and the entire Koroshiya Ichi series. As such I've also been reading Idiot's guide to drawing Manga:D
I've dipped into a couple books on some advanced weight training, because I'm probably going to start weight training seriously again for the first time in 6 years.
On top of all that fun reading, I've also been studying up for the GED and reading a lot of highschool math that I never got to do. Whoo! I love reading.


Anyway.. "Watch My Back" sounds good, I'm going to have to look into it! As for the other books, I never really get into fiction, I dunno why.. but if somebody would try to convince me about how much fiction rocks, I'd love to hear it:D
