Lucid Dreaming and me being miserable

Ok, this is one of those few days that I need to write crap on the internet to sort things out, and what place could be better than this forum?

First thing that doesn't have anything to do with what's going but whatever. Is anyone here doing lucid dreaming? I am currently to tired and stuff to work on it, but I'd really love to learn. I been reading some serious stuff about it, but I'd like some advices and hear som peoples expiriences about it without having to join another forum.

Secondly. My band is in to HEAVY rehearsing right now for touring and recording and everything at once. New songs and old songs and everything is being worked through. This is one of those great weeks to have a girlfriend who isn't having her best days and I'm busy and she slams the phone on me. Some time loving someone like hell can be a big pain. I feel that I wan't to do something great for her, but I'm to bummed out to think of anything.

Man... I'm wasting your time. Sorry guys, but you don't need to hear from me to often here, so it can't be to painful. :P

man, i know this probably isn't much of an "advice" but hey, if you're doing your best for your girlfriend, you're doing your best for your girlfriend. So even if she's being "bitchy" about it, if there's nothing you can do about it.... there's nothing you can do about it :D
try to look on the big bright side: heavy rehearsing for recording and touring is a dream for much of the folks who have bands, even with the big bad side that can have, you're still being able to do something bigger than yourself!

so good luck on everything ;)

Lucid dreaming ? What is it ? Well I understand but how "true" are the dreams ? Are they thoughts while you're starring at nothing with a blured and double vision, or really like dreams ? Just curious^^

For your girlfriend, I'm not sure that'll help :), maybe just for 1h30 while you're rehearsing, but if she hasn't already, to watch "My Neighbor Totoro", one of the best anime I've ever seen, if not THE best, brings some smile on my face everytime I see it, like a parenthesis to everything annoying. It's not like a disney with annoying songs every 5 minutes, it's as good for adults as it is for kids^^.

Every dream I've ever had has been lucid, I'm pretty awesome. Anyway, the simplest and easiest way to get yourself lucid dreaming is listen to one track of a song, every night, on repeat while you sleep. You'll hear it in your dreams, and soon enough you'll be like hey, I have this cd on.. hey I'm dreaming, badass! Don't bother with all the 'dream-checks' and b vitamin supplements and stuff. Really. It's as simple as listening to a song on repeat:)

Anyway, My Neighbor Totoro is THE BEST. I've got a Catbus shirt and totor hat, and my girlfriend has a Totoro shirt.

I had one a while ago. It was just a dream and I realised I was dreaming and I could do everything I wanted. It was pretty blurred all the time.

Recent research showed that videogames cause the gamer to dream lucidly. It's fun AND... fun :D

I had that with Mafia.

But the one I cherish the most was when I was flying. I was at the beach, just jumped into the water and in mid-air I thought "what if I go up" and I just went up and flew around. Magic.

...look for really mundane things, train yourself to notice electric wall sockets or something dull like that, (like hughie said about palying the same track) look for your hands, you have to introduce something that is in your brain like driving, the way you check you mirrors before pulling out it has to be automatic.

..once that happens you can notice the rest of the room and 'that' door over there, you'll end up knowing you're asleep but will just go with it.
