I remember all the good press they got when their self-titled album was released two or three years ago. At least enough to get me exited, but when I heard them for the first time, I was disappointed - sounded like 08/15 alternative/rock/pop/whatever to me.
So I almost forgot about Billy Talent, until I heard "Devil In A Midnight Mass" some weeks ago. The first time I heard it my reaction didn't differ that much from the one I described above, but by the second or third time I listened to it, I had the feeling of "getting" it. And that was only the beginning. I couldn't get the damn song out of my head! And now that also This Suffering or Red Flag caught my attention, I have to give those guys credit for being capable of writing simple, but rocking kick-ass songs with melodies that won't leave your head for weeks!
Well, the singing still seems to be a major problem for some people
Anyway, your thoughts!
