Yes, I am serious. I've been very depressed lately and listened Infinity way too much and due to that I'm starting to feel really awful.

People here have discussed of the healing power of such songs as Sunshine and happines and Stagnant before so I thought some of you might know some other happy music. Not any boring two chord songs though.

So recommend me some music that can make you happy. Thanks.

California and Mr. Bungle. Get those albums.

You should also try Ozric Tentacles. It's not happy music but it still makes you feel good. Or something. :D

Haha! Fair enough.

I guess this all depends on your tastes, doesn't it? If you like hip hop, old de la soul albums like 3 Feet High and Rising are pretty happy-sounding.

Ummm... some stuff that puts ME in a happy mood:

Dev (obviously)
They Might Be Giants
Daft Punk
The Flaming Lips
Fun Lovin Criminals
Beastie Boys
Queen
Punky Bruster
Regurgitator
Underworld
Basement Jaxx
Supergrass
James Brown
Outkast
N.E.R.D.
B-52s
Mylo
Polyphonic Spree
Bob Marley
Machine Gun Fellatio
Isaac Hayes
The Beatles
The Jam
Gerling
Gorrilaz
Devo
Beach Boys

Hope you find something in that lot. And, more importantly, I hope you feel better soon! :)

They Might Be Giants is a great pick. There's a lot of fun and happy stuff on all of their stuff.

I'm also gonna second The Flaming Lips in there. If you can, download some of their live videos, those are beyond happy, many with people dressed up in animal suits dancing around and doing stuff like throwing confetti.

Waltari, the Devin Townsend Band / Faith No More / Mr. Bungle / Sisters Of Mercy / Cure / Madonna / U2 / 2 Unlimited / DJ Bobo / Prodigy / NIN / Killing Joke / New Model Army / Cryptopsy / Death / Suicidal Tendencies / Ramones / Beatles / Public Enemy / Beasty Boys / Muppets Show (...) of Finland.

One of the best crossover bands ever, featuring Sami (Kreator), who was temporarily replaced by Roope (Children Of Bodom).

Especially recommended: "Torcha!", "So Fine!", "Big Bang", "Yeah! Yeah! Die! Die! Death Metal Symphony In Deep C" and "Blood Sample".

After a career that spans almost 20 years, Waltari released their new album Blood Sample, an output that encompasses almost every music style imaginable and sounds as fresh as their first release.

Waltari mastermind Kärtsy Hatakka: 'The theme of the album is Europe today, not politically but the general mood. "Helsinki" is naturally Finland, "All Roads" is Germany (autobahns), "Pigeons" is Spain, "Wide Awake" is France, "Julia" is England, "Aching Eyes" is about Nokia workers... and "Digging Inside" is in a way the key song of the whole idea. "New York" is about the relationship and connections between the 'new' and the 'old' world and about our different views on many things, the war on Iraq for example. In "Pigeons" I sing, and Hossni joins in arabic, in a way about all the Mediterranean countries, the whole historical heritage of Phoenicia - the Pigeons! Liberate your mind from musical preconditions!'

Stream of Passion. It's an offshoot of Ayreon, but with more of a 'band' structure. They've got a female vocalist, so that's a definite happy factor right there. Very nice music.
