R.I.P. Syd Barrett

For those of you who don't know yet, Syd Barrett died on 09/07/06, and for those of you who have been living under a rock for the past 40 years, Syd Barrett is former, somewhat estranged frontman and founding member of Pink Floyd. A simple google search will give you all the details you need.
He was 60 years old, R.I.P.

Its a shame what drugs can do to a person. This was a case that they completely destroyed his life AND was kept in the spotlight.
I hope dying of diabetes isnt too painful, poor bloke

The man was such a genius, and you can hear his influence in so many of my favorite musicians today. Piper at the Gates of Dawn is, without a doubt in my mind, the best that Pink Floyd ever did.
RIP Syd, you'll be sorely missed.

Respect. The man who made the best Pink Floyd album has finally passed away. May he finally have some peace.
