I saw this movie for the first time tonight, and I have to say that it may be one of the funniest things that I have ever seen.

For anyone who doesn't know, it's a documentary about a joke that comedians tell that starts with a man walking into a talent agent's office and telling him that he has this talent act (a family act). From there the joke just gets as disguisting and vulgar as possible as the man says all of this stuff that involves pretty much anything offensive and sick that can be thought of, including (but not limited to) incest, child sex, racism, etc. Anything that is taboo in society. Then, at the end, the talent agent says anything that the joketeller feels like saying before he asks what the name of the act is. The person then replies with, "The Aristocrats!"

I know it sounds stupid and bad, but I actually have some of that stuff in my sense of humor, and even though at times even I was just thinking that it was too much, I still was laughing at it the whole time, especially when I saw it acted out by a mime.

If you don't get offended by those sorts of things in comedy, then I highly reccomend you watch this documentary.

I love that documentary. Penn & Teller fucking rule and their Shotime series Bullshit may possibly be the greatest show ever made (aside from He-Man and The Masters Of The Universe. Nothing will ever top that show.) Hopefully season 3 of Bullshit will be released soon. I love when they go after the Creationists.

Yeah, The Aristocrats was awesome. I'm seriously considering ordering the soundtrack CD for a freind's birthday, as we share the same depraved sense of humour.
The personal highlight for me was George Carlin breaking the joke down as only he can!

I really didn't dig it too much. How come the best comedians don't get to tell the joke? Eric Idle, Robin Williams, Billy Connolly... Oh well...

I liked it, but it could have been so much better for reasen already mentioned.

I totally dug Bob Saget's sick, SICK version of it though, I didn't expect to hear THAT coming from that guy

I loved it when Bob Saget told them to send a tape to the girls from Full House or something like that. I thought that was a great line.

That was the humor of having him star in such watered down, insipid shows like Full House and America's Stupidest People Caught On Video. Saget is notorious for his extremely raunchy standup routine. He's the perfect guy to be telling that joke. Cartmen's take on it was also quite poignant, as I knew Trey and Matt would not hold back, and when Cartmen whipped out the 9/11 victims addition to the joke, I damn near had a heart attack.

By the way, the documentary is dedicated to Johnny Carson because it was his favorite joke.

I've gotten conservative in my old age. I watched the DVD and I thought, prior to seeing it, "I can handle it."

Dude, I was actually wincing during some of the bits. I kinda thought the incest stuff was over the top. As a teacher and a father, I kinda don't have a sense of humor when it comes to sex with children. Too much damage caused by that stuff to be funny to me.

But, then again, I'm all for a good sodomy joke with plenty of vomit, shit, and piss.

In any case, that's a very funny dvd and if you're a fan of comedy, especially making comedy, you have to watch it.
