Well, I did a search, and didn't come up with any threads about him already, which I found surprising.

Not too long ago, I added "Low" and "Station To Station" to my collection, and I've been on a real Bowie kick lately. I don't have all of his stuff...probably not even half. But of what I do have, is just excellent. The man is quite talented.

Anyone else a Bowie fan? Let the discussion begin!

Well, I haven't heard much of his stuff, but the song Dead Man Walking is a nice one.

Thursday's Child is my favorite David Bowie-song!

I really like his newer albums; I guess I'll be a heretic if I said that I really didn't like his albums from the 70's and the 80's...

Fantastic singer!

Me me me!!!

I believe...although I'd have to go home and confirm, that I have all of his albums, or very close to it, plus the Best Of Bowie DVD, the Reality Tour DVD, and 2 t-shirts. And Labyrinth, if that counts.

I like him a little bit.

A year ago I bought ALADIN SIN. I like it, even though it's a bit hard to "find" your way through his musical expression, IMO.

Also, I saw him perform a song with the Arcade Fire on TV, that was awesome. Disappointed to see Bowie's not on the CD version...

Hi!

This is my first post. I couldt pass this topic cause im huge bowie fan. I like almost every album but OUTSIDE is absolutely fantastic. Very strange but so deep and frightening, when you get in to it, youre trapped, no way out. The way that "Strangers when we meet" ends that album is mind blowing...well to me at least.

I almost saw Bowie live once. But he was injured (shoulder or something). So they replaced him with 2manyDJs... Aaargh that sucked.

I saw Bowie here in Finland a couple of years ago. It was a great show and they played all the best songs (except Space Oddity).

I have to say, Strangers When We Meet is my favorite Bowie. The video is just as great. I absolutely love that song. :)

And welcome!

So, I guess the logical thing here would be to ask everyone what their favorite album and song is.

Mine are:
Album- actually this is undecided, but I think it might be "Low"
Song-"Quicksand"

And then, maybe someone could tell me what to get next. So far I have Diamond Dogs, Hunky Dory, Low, Space Oddity, Station to Station, Ziggy Stardust, and The Man Who Sold The World.

Testament?!?! I am not real familiar with Bowie but that seems like an oxymoron to me...like having SYL open for Micheal Bolton - sure they both have skullets but the two just don't go together!
