Favorite Video Game Series

Pretty self-explanatory. Just curious as to what everyone on here thinks is the best video game series of all time.
For me it's the Zelda games. Mostly because at the time they were coming out, I really, almost got jealous of the Link character. I thought he was the coolest thing, and from that I really got into the storyline of the series and everything around it. I still love the story and buy every Zelda game that comes out on a major Nintendo system.
EDIT: Forgot to add Metroid to the list, so I'm sure one will not have any votes, just put it in there.

Of those, probably Mario or Resident Evil.
I'm not a big game player though (although I work in the industry)

it was hard for me, i grew up loving the early sonic series, but i chose final fantasy because it gave me so many awesome moments

tough one...I love Zelda, FF, Mortal Kombat but I voted for Resident Evil. Although I only played Resident Evil 1-3 on PS but I LOVED those games.

Prince Of Persia on next-gen platforms - has anyone else played the Two Thrones? Good game.
Grand Theft Auto is really cool.
The Onimusha series is really good. You could describe it as a medieval Japanese Resident Evil.
Ratchet And Clank is probably my favourite series, although I've not bought the newest game yet.

from the list, halo got my vote though im a command & conquer kinda guy.
strategy is my middle name.
i love the conflict desert storm/global storm games too.
theyre absolutely great on 4 player...

Has anyone played FarCry? I love this game, I'm playing it on "realistic" level (5/5) AND IT TAKES TIME! Best FPS for me.

GTA. But I don't really like all the series, sequelling and franchising. I prefer developers to come up with something new.

Voted Zelda but a big "Yay" has to go to the maaaaaaaad metal soundtrack of the F-Zero series !!
