Dude I am ALL ABOUT the falsetto shriek. No one does that stuff anymore, and against my better judgment I like it. This band is like a one way ticket to 1987 when bulletboys were king. I guess that would be a one way ticket to hell in a way. Metal!?

I saw them live and it was pretty awsome, they work for me in small doses. Theres something about them that gets me tired of them very quickly.

This band is terrible. A disgrace to the real 80's bands that are still out there making music that blows this out of the water. I hate this band.

Agreed. They are a cheep spoof and are living off it. It's the same thing as Spinal Tap, but Spinal Tap just did one mockumentary, not a bunch of crap albums that I have to hear everywhere...ug.

I reckon that people who knock The Darkness because they take the piss out of the 80s are just upset because now everyone remembers why the 80s were so silly. And anyway all the 80s bands are trying to be tough and metal these days, unless they were only ever popular because they wore bright clothes, in which case they try and get support slots with The Darkness.

Anybody who tries to tell you that their music isn't serious needs to seriously lighten up and listen to bands like Freak Kitchen or Primus. Music can be fun as well.

The 80's were silly, but the fact remains that the music back then was GREAT! The shows were GREAT! The Darkness are simply TERRIBLE!
