Sir Millard Mulch

Okay, so I'm go to order this CD from Sir Millar Mulch, his new one, having heard some stuff, but not a ton, but enjoying what I've heard. I go ahead and order the CD, and I realize that it says that there's an appearance by Devin Townsend himself on there. I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of this before. I myself had no clue that he had any part of it, as I'd never seen him say anything about it or seen anyone on here say anything about it, but I have it coming in the mail, so maybe I'll just find out then, but if I can, I'd like to know more before.

So, in short, anyone here heard anything about Devin being on the new Sir Millard Mulch CD (well, actually a 3 CD set)?

I've not heard of him... Good Sleepytime Gorilla Museum quote though. I need to hear more of their shit. You know when I hung out with Nils I didn't even realize until he told me about his friend with a microtonal guitar that he was who he is...

A couple of years ago I won a competition the newsletter had and the price was a Sir Millard Mulch CD.
Devin was on it and as far as I remember, Devin did a parody of the "Olive"-intro. (Or was it a parody of the commentary material the digipack-version Terria had?)
It was nothing special, just a little bit of a laugh. :)

I actually just saw last night he has his version of "All Hail the New Flesh" on one of his previous CDs (his only one on Amazon, go ahead and check out the sample there, it's pretty funny). Still doing a lot of research and trying to find out more about this connection though, but the guy kinda reminds me JUST SLIGHTLY of Zappa.

Ah, so there IS a Sir Millard Mulch thread...almost made one, but then decided to do a search.

Anyways, a friend of mine from another music forum persuaded me to check this guy out...so I bought the new album, and was also very pleased to see Dev was also on there. Unfortunately, though, the liner notes don't indicate specifically what tracks he's on, though I know he's on "The Great Strength Of Our Professional Affiliations / How To Spend Music Industry Currency"...it's Dev talking about the worst jobs he's ever had with a violin playing in the background.

Good album, though.

ooohhh

I been wanting to check out Millard Mulch for awhile, saw his guitar lesson things on Google/YouTube, some of it is pretty funny :) "Once you've mastered this, you'll be fucking Paris Hilton's brains out in an limosine, all over Beverely Hills"

There's also his Strapping Young Lad medley, its on 50 intellectually Stimulating Themes or whatever its called. It's only a minute long, but it is a very interesting take on the band.

The guy's a huge dork, but I cannot stop laughing at the things he says and does.
