A japanese art, some sort of poem without rhymes.
In fact, it's better if there's no rhymes.
The goal is to find words that have a "good" meaning, that the haiku makes you feel something or think about something, rather than it sounds nice.

Maybe the words used also should have a nice writing (well in japanese^^), cuz' haiku are written on prints, with a drawing or something, so the nicer the kanas or kanjis, the better the whoel print will look.

It should be made of sentences of 5-7-5 syllables respectively. Maybe you can cheat with vowels that can be muted at the end of a word.

A haiku should also contain a word related to the seasons, the whether, the time of day...

There's also the senryu, same as above, but without anything season-realated, and with a bit of humor in it, often sarcastic.

Most Japanese things rule. Way smarter than us stupid whiteys. I'm reading the history of Japan right now and I can see paralells in what they were doing hundreds of years ago with what is going on in Australia right now... At least they got their act cleaned up, it will be a while before us foolasses get shit sorted and by the time we do, the world will be a much more fucked, polluted and (most importantly) war-torn place.

Japan was able to fight other countries as a way of showing their independance and that they were not sub-humans... Now we are trying to do that by backing America in this war of theirs and we are making big mistakes because of it... But anyway.....

I digress, haikus are the shit. I'm all for the feeling rather than conformity.
