Just curious. Does Devin still not want this song traded?

I haven't heard it, and I want to. If anyone has it, I can trade it for a Tree Of The Sun track that I have...

Yeah it's great, it's Dire from the SYL album but then it turns into a song in it's own right, but it does have some similarities to material off SYL, but is of course far better... He uses a similar chorus to Consequence, "and we'll find a way, find a way to the world!" but it's a Devin song, not an SYL song. I believe it was used on a Japanese compilation album.

Yeah, some compilation called Mikazuki In Rock, or something like that.

A guy wanted some stuff I had really really bad, and I told him the only way he could get it was if he found some Tree Of The Sun, thinking it would be an impossible find. I was wrong, he found the second track, Athena/Red within about 2 hours!

thefillersweetcityjesus: Tree of the Sun was a band kind of like IR8 that Dev played in with Dale Crover, Jason Newstead and someone else who's name escapes me.

It sounds a lot like IR8, with some sludgy bass. I'm pretty sure there is 2 bass players on it.

Nah its heaps better than IR8.

Isn't it with the drummer from Whiplash or some other thrash metal act? OR am I thinking about another Newsted/Townsend project?

Speaking of Newsted, ever heard of his Sepultallica project? Or Echobrain? (Love the Echobrain stuff!)

The Echobrain stuff is good. I just picked up both CDs a few weeks back for $2 a piece! Can't beat that!!

I really like "idom". The whole mikazuki cd is great (kinda) i really like the way it comes with a free toy robot. Any cd that comes with a free robot has to be worth it. The song itself is very much the syl trax but with more of devins solo spin on the vocals. Classic stuff.

I've never listened to that song and didn't really know of its existance till now

Have I been duped?? This Athena/Red clip is straight of the Chophouse Records website!! It's only a minute and a half long. I feel cheated. =(
