There it is... all 8, i felt real guilty about hi-jacking Tracy's thread, so i made my own... muahahaha!

And yes Regal... It does keep Doug Bradley in work, but where's his integrity as an actor? I guess he probably HAS been pretty typecast...

apparently he appeared in an episode of 'Judge John Deed'... maybe not THAT typecast.

Also Sam Raimi is re-making 'The Evil Dead' WITHOUT BRUCE CAMPBELL!

In the third film he appears as himself, which is funny, he contacts some pretty journalist girl and then tells her that he became Pinhead in the second world war... which doesn't really make sense in how he became the leader of the cenobites.

Yea i thought the third film was just where it all started to get REALLY silly, i mean it was watchable, but silly. Especially the cenobite that fired CD's.

I guess if we read the books it might tie up a little more.

That's never going to happen.

I actually think the second one is worse than the third. Mainly because Hell is rubbish and not scary at all.

The third one has some class lines in there as well.

"Did you enjoy the girl? So did I."

and the bit where he feeds the priest his skin is laugh out loud funny.

All the horror villians..
Freddy
Jason
Michael Myers.. etc...

Pinhead is the only one who is actually scary

agreed, i was always terrified of pinhead when i was a lad. Freddy was close behind.

I think i always more afraid of the super natural aspects, as opposed to the myers/voorhies hack and slash.

I beg to differ there. I find him camp and laughable, hence why I love him so much.

not camp and laughable when you're a young whippersnapper though.

although yes... yes he is quite camp.

I really love those old horror flicks, where they used meat an stuff for the gore as opposed to geting a computer to do it. in a weird way it seemed more 'realisitc'. I really don't find all those 'new-wave' horror flicks that scary at all...

I think Pinhead was only really scary in the first film. They kinda lost the plot a bit (totally) after that, though I have to admit that I haven't seen ALL of those sequels.

He lost his reverse-echo-satan-speak that he had in the first film in the last sequel I saw, which was the 3rd film I think.

I only own the first film. Good stuff.

John Carpenters 'The Thing' is still the only thing that really terrified me as a boy.

So howabout "Pinhead Versus The Thing".

A seriously serious movie, no doubt.

It looked more real because it WAS real, rather than a load of digital fuckery foo spurting all over the shop.

Likewise with the new Star Wars films. The space ships don't look as real anymore because they're not models. They're all silvery and rubbish.

although part 3 was not excellent...my favorite Pinead scene of all time still is Pinhead pulling 2 nails out of his head, driving them through his hands, standing there in Jesus Christ pose saying "I am the way"....lol...love that! Or "Your suffering will be legendary, even in hell". Also I loved part 2. The Channard cenobite is a really cool character IMO. The first one is my favorite of course. Hellraiser 4 was not Genius but was sorta entertaining though and I even liked Inferno and Hellseeker, sorta, because they´re different and not THAT bad for movies that were never made for theater. Deader and Hellworld are in fact done already and have just not been released yet due to probs with the company which will release them. But they will be released this year in June and September. You just have to forget about logic when it comes to Hellraiser. I mean, if Clive Barker wants to write a story where Pinhead finally dies, he´ll have to let this happen after Hellraiser 4 which plays in the year 2127. So that story would have to be even more futuristic. So let´s just forget about logic. I love Judge Pinhead. :D

Hellseeker is like a normal detective thriller movie and then Pinhead pops up at the end saying something like: "It was me all along!"

What makes me laugh is that people were surprised when Clive Barker came out. It's not as if the cenobites are the best hidden metaphor.
